I wouldn't call them a gimmick, on small patch jobs and tight areas, they can save a ton of time and mobilization costs. Full-size machines still win on bigger projects, but mini cold planers definitely have their place. 👍

you can usually find the right part number through a Cat dealer or parts manual pretty quick, and yeah a little oil near the starter can happen with a wet flywheel setup, but I’d still double-check seals just to be safe
