Skid Steer Attachments Getting More Popular Than Full Machines?

I was browsing the unused listings on Ritchie Bros. and noticed there seem to be tons of skid steer attachments showing up lately, almost more attention on the attachments than the machines themselves. With how expensive new equipment is getting, are more people just upgrading attachments instead of buying another skid steer? Curious what everyone here thinks.

I think the situation largely depends on budget and the type of work being done. With the cost of new skid steer machines rising significantly, many contractors and small business owners now find it more practical to upgrade attachments rather than replace the entire machine. A high quality attachment can expand the capabilities of a single machine, making it far more cost effective in the long run.
Another important factor is that modern attachments have become much more advanced, improving productivity and allowing operators to complete specialized tasks more efficiently. Because of this, it doesn’t surprise me to see more attention being given to attachments in auction listings. I believe the demand for versatile and high-performance attachments will continue to grow in the future.
