Hey everyone,

How are you all protecting your equipment these days? With theft on the rise, I’m curious what security steps everyone’s taking to keep machines safe on the job or in the yard. Are you relying on GPS and telematics, good old-fashioned locks and chains, or something else? Have any of you tried remote engine disable features or geofencing yet? Would love to hear what’s actually working for you. Thanks in advance

Crazy stat man... equipment theft costs the industry over $1 billion a year

I started using GPS with geofencing alerts and a remote kill switch and way more peace of mind now especially overnight

yeah, theft’s getting wild lately.. I’ve been using GPS tracking and heavy-duty locks, plus keeping machines lit up with motion lights.. its so far, so good

We've definitely stepped up our game lately - combo of GPS tracking, motion-sensor flood lights, and good ol' jobsite cameras. Just started testing out a remote engine disable system too - kind of wild to be able to shut things down from my phone. Also swapped out a few trailer locks with puck-style ones way harder to cut through. Honestly, just making your stuff look like a hassle to steal seems to go a long way these days. Curious to hear if anyone's tried decoy trackers - thinking about throwing one in just to mess with would-be thieves.
