for sure... too much compaction can lead to drainage issues and even slab cracks later on. Clay especially hates being overworked. I usually stop once I hit target density and the machine starts riding stiff., any more and you’re just wasting fuel or risking problems

Anyone here have experience with mini cold planers? I’m curious if they actually perform well for small patch jobs or if they’re more hype than help. Are they worth the investment, or do full-size machines still make more sense even for light work?
