Would you trust Veritread for moving your excavator or dozer?

Hey guys, I’ve been looking into different heavy equipment transport options lately and keep coming across Veritread. I’m planning to move either an excavator or a mid-size dozer for an upcoming job, and I’m trying to understand how reliable these heavy haul services really are.

For those who’ve actually used Veritread, how was your experience with scheduling, pricing, and communication? Did they handle permits and route planning smoothly, or did you still have to deal with a lot of the logistics yourself?

I’m also curious about equipment safety during transport. Any issues with delays, damage, or unexpected fees? Would you use them again, or is it better to work directly with local haulers or brokers?

Just trying to learn as much as I can before making a decision. Appreciate any real-world advice

Pricing can be competitive, but like most brokers, it can vary depending on distance, urgency, and how specialized the load is.

I've used Veritread a couple of times-it's solid for getting quick quotes and comparing carriers. Usually get bids within a day. Carriers are generally vetted, but I still double-check reviews. They can help with permits and routing, but it depends on the hauler you choose.

Pricing is competitive, but watch for add-ons. No major issues with damage; make sure everything's documented before pickup. If you want convenience and options, Veritread works.

Thank you for the response!

I'd say it really depends on what you value more-options or control. Veritread is solid if you want quick quotes and a range of carriers, but at the end of the day it's still a broker setup, so the actual experience can vary depending on who you get.

Personally, I lean toward setups where there's a bit more support on the logistics side. That's why I like how Boom & Bucket approaches it-when you buy through them, they help connect you with transport partners and guide the process, so it feels less like you're piecing everything together yourself.

Not saying Veritread's bad at all-it's great for comparing prices-but if you don't want to babysit the detalis (permits, timing, coordination), having that extra layer of help can make a big difference
