What’s the safest way to move an older Layton drag box paver without using a loader?

I'm looking at an older Layton drag box paver for recycled asphalt work and trying to figure out the safest way to move it without a loader. Can these be safely chained and pulled behind a truck, or is there a better way to transport them?

If it's going any real distance, I'd lean toward loading it on a trailer instead of towing it. It takes a little more effort, but it's usually the safer option for both the machine and everyone on the road.
