Thinking about buying a used compactor, what should I look out for?

I want to make sure I get a reliable machine without any hidden issues. Any tips on inspections, common problems, or trusted sources would be really helpful!

Hey @George, I’d definitely check for drum wear, vibration performance, and any hydraulic leaks since those can get pricey fast. It also helps to run it and make sure the compaction feels consistent, not weak or uneven. If you can, try to get service records too. . it tells you a lot about how the machine was treated.

Honestly I'd just take your time and inspect everything closely before jumping on a deal. Check for leaks, weird noises, excessive play, and make sure all the functions work once the machine is warmed up. Service records help a lot too if the seller has them.
