Is a GPS tracker very important when choosing your shipping partner?

I think most of the shipping companies have a GPS fleet tracking software to track it's current location. Do you feel safe to ship your heavy equipment with your shipping partner who does not have a GPS fleet tracker?

Yeah, I’d say it’s pretty important, . even brands like Ritchie Bros. emphasize real-time tracking for better shipping transparency.

totally agree! having gps tracking gives peace of mind, especially when shipping big gear through companies like Ritchie Bros.

GPS tracking isn’t just a “nice to have” anymore, especially for heavy equipment. It adds transparency, real-time visibility, and accountability on both sides. Without it, you’re relying purely on trust and updates after the fact, which increases risk if delays or issues happen. For high-value or heavy shipments, I’d definitely feel safer working with a partner that offers GPS fleet tracking.
