I’ve been noticing how much software is becoming part of everyday construction equipment, and it’s pretty interesting to see how quickly things are changing. How much difference do GPS, telematics, and machine-control systems actually make to productivity on a busy jobsite? Are operators finding that real-time machine data helps them finish jobs faster or reduce fuel and idle time? I’m also curious how useful remote diagnostics and maintenance alerts are for keeping equipment running. For those already using smart equipment, which software feature has made the biggest difference in your day-to-day work?
