how much do bulldozers cost?

Been runnin heavy machines over 20 years, thinkin bout gettin my own dozer. Prices are wild—new Cat D3's around $150k, but a D8 can hit over $500k. Any tips on snaggin a deal? Better to go used or stick to new? Whats dozer pricing like where y'all are?
