What qualifications or certifications make an operator stand out during hiring?
Do you think offering better pay and benefits is enough to attract experienced operators?

I agree with the hands-on test approach. Referrals and trade schools can help find candidates, but seeing an operator actually handle the equipment can tell you a lot more than a resume.
