Has anyone here successfully replaced a damaged serial number tag on a machine?

I’ve got a 2020 Doosan excavator, and the plate below the cab is too beat up to read. I am wondering if there’s a legit way to get a replacement from the dealer or manufacturer?

Ran into this on my JLG E300AJ.The machine powered up and boomed, but no forward/reverse. Got a 7740 shunt code. Wiring checked out fine, so it had me stuck. The shunt isn't just a connection; it actually measures current. If the reading's off, the controller won't allow the machine to drive.

Yeah, you can usually get a replacement plate through a dealer or manufacturer-as long as you can prove ownership and provide the machine serial number.

yes - we replaced a damaged serial number tag on one of our machines through the manufacturer, and the process was somother than expected. as long as you have proof of ownership and the machine details, most manufacturers can help with a proper replacement. definitely worth doing to keep records accurate and avoid future issues.
