Why does the idf use bulldozers?

Hi everyone,

Why does the IDF use bulldozers in military operations? Are they mainly for engineering tasks, or do they serve other strategic purposes as well?

Yeah, the IDF uses bulldozers like the armored D9 for way more than just clearing rubble and they’re basically tanks with blades. They’re used to clear paths through obstacles, demolish structures used by militants, and even to trigger hidden explosives safely. Super useful in urban combat zones where mobility and protection are key.
