My 1999 John Deere 160LC with 8,900 hours starts running fine but nearly stalls instantly whenever I use a hydraulic function. The engine has been checked extensively, including the turbo, injection pump, and injectors. Deere suspects the hydraulic pump relief valve, but I’d like to troubleshoot further before spending dollars on a pump.
