Why do forklifts have blue lights?

Hey everyone,

I’ve noticed some forklifts have blue lights on them, and I’m curious about the purpose. Are these lights a safety feature, or do they serve another function? Would love to hear your thoughts on why forklifts use blue lights in certain work environments.

Yeah, those blue lights are actually a safety feature! They project a light on the floor to warn others a forklift is approaching it is super helpful in loud or low-visibility areas. Anyone else seen red ones used for the same purpose?

Yeah, exactly! The blue lights are often called "pedestrian safety lights" and are designed to create a visual warning zone around the forklift to prevent accidents. Interestingly, some companies use red lights too, especially in high-traffic areas, to warn people about the forklift's movement from different angles. Both are all about improving awareness and safety on the floor! :)

Yup, those blue lights are like a moving heads-up and they shine ahead of the forklift to give people a warning before it rolls through. Super handy in noisy warehouses!
