What Features Would You Want in a Compact Dozer?

I’ve been thinking about what makes an ideal compact dozer—D4 size or smaller. If you could design your perfect small dozer, what features would you add or improve?

Would you go for more power, better blade control, improved visibility, or something else entirely? I know hydrostatic vs. powershift is always a debate too. Curious to hear your thoughts!?

Give me a longer track frame for better stability, a blade that’s actually wide enough when angled, and a real decelerator pedal. And if we’re dreaming—D5-level power in a D4-sized package would be perfect.

I’d go for better visibility, especially around the blade and tracks, plus smoother blade control for fine grading. A little more power without extra weight would be a nice bonus too.

Totally agree on the visibility and smoother blade control! I’d also love to see a more comfortable cab with better suspension, long days in a compact dozer can be rough. Anyone have a preference between hydrostatic and powershift for small dozers?
