Hey everyone,

I’ve been working with motor graders lately and wanted to ask about what are some of the most common problems you’ve seen with these machines? Also, what are your go-to fixes or maintenance tips to keep them running smoothly? Would love to hear your experiences!

Good topic! Blade drift, weak hydraulics, and steering lag are big ones I’ve seen it's usually from worn seals or low fluid levels. Also, if your articulation gets sloppy, it’s often bushings or pivot wear. Keep up with daily grease checks and don’t skip inspecting hydraulic lines, those tiny leaks turn into big downtime fast. A well-timed filter change can save you thousands. Has anyone else ever dealt with mystery electrical bugs in older graders?
