OSHA Renewal... who has crazy stories on-site?

Anytime I need to renew my OSHA it always makes me think of crazy stories and near misses.

I've seen a few... from an I-beam dangling off a crane and swinging like a pendulum to a trench collapse where a guy luckily only got 3/4 buried. One company had two morons try to race forklifts only for one of them to drop off the loading dock... totaled a truck and broke his leg.

My closest call personally came as a youngster working on a golf course mowing during the rain. Was slick and I got sideways on a hill, couldn't get traction, and tipped over backwards into a creek. I bailed. The mower was probably ten degrees from tippin all the way over which might've pinned me in two feet of water. Wonder if the next group of golfers would've hit their tee-shots before coming to check on me?

Man, some of those stories are wild! The closest call I had was a guy trying to guide a load with his hands instead of a tag line, wind caught it, and spun him right off his feet. Luckily, just a bruised ego, but it could’ve been way worse. OSHA refreshers always remind me how many dumb near-misses we’ve all seen!

Yeah, it always brings back some crazy memories! Saw a guy ignore lockout/tagout once—nearly started up a machine while someone was inside doing maintenance. Close calls like that make you appreciate the safety rules.

Man, some of these stories make me cringe! One of the wildest I saw was a guy trying to climb a scaffold without tying off and made it about halfway before the whole thing wobbled and sent him scrambling back down. No injuries, just a bruised ego and a lot of 'I meant to do that' energy. OSHA refreshers always make me think about how many close calls happen that could’ve been way worse!

These stories are wild! I remember a guy once hopping off a forklift to grab a tool while it was still moving and he made it, but I’ve never seen someone run so fast! Always a good reminder to stick to the safety protocols.
