If you're talking ranch-work over 40-50 acres, a well-maintained classic dozer like a D6D will handle everything from clearing brush to building terraces, maybe not as comfy or "bells and whistles" as a modern one, but for basic grunt work it'll outlast most newer machines because of simple, tough construction.
