Hey everyone,

I’m looking to upgrade my service truck setup in 2025 and could use some inspiration.

What are your must-have tools, storage ideas, or custom add-ons that make your daily work smoother?

Whether it's drawer systems, onboard power, or clever space-saving hacks—I'd love to hear what’s working for you!
 
for sure go with a good drawer system to keep your hand tools sorted
add a welder/generator combo for on-site fixes
and dont skip on decent LED lighting..it makes a huge difference when you’re working late.
A small air compressor mounted neatly is a lifesaver too..

Considering custom racks or underbody boxes?

For me, the biggest upgrades were a solid drawer system with labeled compartments (saves so much time digging around), onboard inverter power for charging everything on the go, and a small parts organizer mounted near the door for quick grabs. Also, magnetic tool holders inside cabinet doors are underrated!

Even in 2026, id still put onboard power and an organized drawer system at the top of the list - they're the upgrades that save me the most time on service calls.
 
I made a few upgrades to my service truck last year, and honestly, they've made my day-to-day work much easier. The best investment for me was a good lockable drawer system because it keeps all my small tools and parts organized. I also added LED work lights and an onboard inverter, which have been incredibly useful, especially when I'm working at sites without power. I use magnetic tool holders and labeled bins for small parts too, so I don't waste time looking for what I need. If you're setting up a new truck, I'd definitely recommend planning for a little extra storage space. You'll probably find yourself using every bit of it sooner than you think.
 
One thing that made a bigger difference than I expected was organizing by task instead of by tool. I keep the items I use together in the same drawer or bin, so I'm not constantly walking back and forth. A small inverter with plenty of charging ports has also been worth it for keeping batteries topped off. Good LED lighting inside the compartments is another upgrade I'd never skip again—it saves a lot of time on early mornings and late service calls.
