Hey everyone,
I've been running a 2015 John Deere 245G LC for a bit now, and I've always had a gut feeling that the engine doesn't sound like it's reaching full song at wide open throttle (WOT). It just feels a little "lazy" compared to other excavators I've operated. I finally dove into the monitor settings today to check the actual numbers, and it's topping out right at 1800 RPM.
For those of you running the same series or similar Deere/Hitachi machines:

For those of you running the same series or similar Deere/Hitachi machines:
- Does 1800 RPM sound normal for the high-idle spec on a 245G?
- Is there a specific "Power Mode" or an Eco-mode setting hidden in the menus that might be capping the revs?
- Could this be a throttle cable calibration issue, or should I be looking at the electronic dial/actuator?
