How to troubleshoot a JLG 400S lift basket with no power?

If your JLG 400S lift basket has no power, try these steps:
  • Check wiring for breaks, pinches, or flex damage.
  • Make sure basket connections are tight and clean.
  • Test fuses and the key switch.
  • Look for safety switches or sensors that cut power at height.
  • Try moving the boom low and high, and note where the power cuts out.
A simple multimeter check can help pinpoint whether it's the harness, basket computer, or a safety sensor.

Has anyone fixed a JLG 400S basket losing power at height? What worked for you?
 
Had something similar on a 400S before adn turned out to be a worn wire in the harness that only lost contact at full height, so definitely worth checking those flex points closely
 
check the ground connections and harness around the boom joints too. Sometimes a wire looks fine but loses contact when the boom extends or moves.
