How to fix sinking pavers?

Yeah, the best way is to pull up the sinking pavers, add more base material (like sand or gravel), and compact it really well before resetting them. Water drainage can be a big factor too, have you noticed any pooling in that area?

Good point on the drainage! Sometimes the issue is a bit deeper than just the pavers. If you're noticing pooling, it might help to add a slight slope to redirect water away from the area before resetting those pavers. It’ll save you from the same problem down the road!

Definitely agree with the others—pull the sunken ones, check that base, and recompact like your project depends on it (because it does). I usually add a bit of crushed stone for better drainage, not just sand, especially if the area gets a lot of runoff. And yeah, a little slope goes a long way in keeping things from sinking again.

To fix sinking pavers, lift the affected ones, add and level fresh sand or crushed stone underneath, then re-lay and tamp them down. Ensure proper drainage nearby to prevent future sinking.
