If you want to change the control pattern on a Cat 305E, you can usually do it through the machine's monitor / electronic module settings - no need to mess with hoses if the feature is enabled.
What you can try:
Turn the key to the ON position (don't start the engine).
Use the monitor panel buttons to go into the settings or service menu.
Look for the "Control Pattern" or "Joystick Pattern" option
Select your preferred pattern (ISO or SAE).
Confirm and exit the menu, then restart the machine.
On some units, you might need a PIN code or dealer access to change it. Also, not all machines have electronic pattern change - some still use a manual pattern changer valve near the cab or under the floor.
