How old do you have to be to drive a trailer?

I've been watching videos of those 50-ton dozers being moved and it got me thinking-what's the actual legal age to start pulling a trailer? Is it just when you get your license, or do you have to wait? I'm looking to get into the hauling side of the industry eventually.

In most places you can tow a small trailer as soon as you have a regular driver’s license, but hauling heavy equipment usually requires a CDL, which you can typically get at 18 (21 for interstate).

yeah, i heard it too.. small trailers are fine early on, but once you get into heavy hauling it’s a whole different level with CDL and age limits.
