how much does it cost to rent a crane per hour?

Crane rental costs depend on size, location, and rental duration. Transport fees and minimum rental periods can significantly impact the price. Have you checked local rates yet?

Hey all, new here and this thread's been super helpful! I’m also looking into crane rentals for an upcoming project and didn’t realize how much transport fees and daily minimums can impact the total cost. @dig, did you end up locking in a quote? Curious what numbers you're seeing too.

From what I’ve seen, crane rental prices really swing based on size and location with a small carry deck crane might be a few hundred a day, but big all-terrain or tower cranes can run into the thousands. Also, most places have minimum rental periods, so even if you only need a crane for a few hours, you’re often paying for a full day. Don’t forget transport costs either, getting that beast to the site can add a surprising chunk to the total. If it’s a longer project, it might be worth asking about weekly or monthly rates or even bundling with other equipment to snag a discount. What kind of crane are you looking at, and how long do you think you’ll need it?
