Got a 2020 Hitachi ZX 55USR here, and it didn't come with factory aux lines for a thumb. I really want to add a hydraulic thumb, mostly to make it more useful-and honestly, I'm also trying to sell it and the lack of a thumb is turning people away. Since there's no dedicated aux hydraulics, I'm trying to figure out what makes the most sense. One idea I had was just tapping into the bucket cylinder lines with a diverter valve (solenoid switch) so I can flip between bucket and thumb. I've seen similar setups on older machines, but some of them weren't exactly convenient since you had to get out of the cab.
