Does the JMWOOD auction company only cater clients in Alabama?

I'm asking because I'm considering participating in an auction, but I'm not sure if being outside Alabama would be an issue.

They also offer online bidding and market equipment to a pretty wide pool of national and international buyers.

Jimwood occasionally runs auctions or handles assets in other locations (like Mississippi or other states), depending on the sale.

From what I've seen, being outside Alabama shouldn't be a problem at all. A lot of buyers participate remotely these days, and most auction companies are set up to work with bidders from other states, especially with online bidding and transport options available. I'd just double-check the specific auction terms and pickup requirements before bidding.

Their reach got even bigger after joining forces with Ritchie Bros. a while back. Makes you wonder how many machines sitting in Montgomery end up working halfway across the country a few weeks later.

Exactly. Just be sure to check the auction terms and shipping options before bidding, especially if you're buying from out of state.

You're fine bidding from outside Alabama, but my tip is to review the buyer fees, pickup deadlines, and shipping arrangements ahead of time so there are no surprises after you win.
