Does a new excavator monitor need to be calibrated after installation?

I recently ordered a new monitor for my machine because the old one stopped displaying accurate readings. The water temperature gauge only reads up to a certain point, the hydraulic temperature gauge no longer works, and the AES and travel speed buttons don't respond, even though they still light up. Before I install the replacement, does the new monitor need to be calibrated or programmed to the machine? If so, what's the correct procedure? Any advice would be appreciated.
