Do You Trust Modern Emissions Systems?

Hey everyone,

Do you trust the modern emissions systems on today's heavy equipment, or do you see them as more trouble than they're worth? Have they been reliable in your experience, or have they caused unexpected downtime and repair costs? I'd be interested to hear how operators and fleet owners feel about them.

Man, I trust modern emissions systems more than I used to, but they definitely reward good operating habits and maintenance. When machines get worked properly and regen cycles aren’t constantly interrupted, they seem to behave a lot better, but when something does go wrong, repairs can get expensive fast.

I agree that good operating habits make a huge difference, but I still think some emissions systems can be a bit too sensitive for machines that spend a lot of time idling or doing light-duty work. Proper maintenance definitely helps, though, and ignoring regen warnings usually makes things worse.
