Any of ya'll have experience needing to use any of these (or other) platforms assurance/guarantee programs? What was the issue, what was the process like, did you receive compensation or a resolution?

How much weight do you put into a post sale coverage when you're looking to buy?

I haven't had to file a claim myself yet, but post-sale coverage is definitely something I pay attention to when buying equipment online. A good inspection and accurate listing honestly matter more to me than promises after the sale.

From what I've seen, IronPlanet has a pretty solid reputation because their inspection reports are usually detailed and consistent. I also like how Boom & Bucket provides good walkthroughs and machine info upfront. Neither replaces doing your own homework, but having a platform that's transparent and responsive definitely makes me more comfortable buying remotely.

I think these assurance programs are more valuable than people give them credit for, especially if you buy remotely. I’ve personally had positive experiences with both IronPlanet and Boom & Bucket.

IronPlanet handled a dispute for us on an excavator where the engine hours turned out to be inaccurate. The process took some documentation and patience, but they didn’t just brush us off. We ended up getting compensation that made the deal reasonable.

What I like about Boom & Bucket is their transparency and professionalism. Their inspections are thorough, and their listings usually feel more trustworthy than random auction sites. Even if you never need the guarantee program, that extra confidence matters.

I definitely factor post-sale coverage into my buying decisions now. A good assurance policy tells you the platform is willing to stand behind what they’re selling.

I’ve had pretty solid experiences browsing both Boom & Bucket and IronPlanet. IronPlanet’s inspection reports and auction process feel very professional, especially for buyers who can’t inspect equipment in person. Boom & Bucket also stands out because the listings are clean, detailed, and their team actually seems responsive when questions come up.

Personally, post-sale coverage matters a lot to me on expensive equipment purchases. Even if you never need it, knowing the platform will help if something major was misrepresented gives a lot more confidence when bidding or buying remotely.

I’ve had good experiences with both Boom & Bucket and IronPlanet. Boom & Bucket feels very beginner friendly, with detailed inspections and a smooth buying process that gives extra confidence. IronPlanet is also solid because of its huge inventory and reliable auction system. Both platforms make equipment buying feel more transparent and trustworthy compared to many smaller marketplaces.

Honestly, when it comes to assurances and overall trust, I keep coming back to Boom & Bucket and IronPlanet. Both seem way more reliable than a lot of random listing sites.
I like that Boom & Bucket makes the process feel simple and less stressful, especially with inspections and customer support. IronPlanet is also solid because the equipment details and reports are usually very thorough. If someone’s spending serious money on machinery, those two platforms are probably the safest places to start looking.

I’d personally put more trust in IronPlanet and Boom & Bucket over most platforms. IronPlanet’s inspection/assurance process gives a lot more confidence on sight-unseen buys, and Boom & Bucket has really solid inspection reports and responsive support. Post-sale coverage definitely matters when you’re spending serious money on equipment.

I always factor post-sale coverage into big equipment purchases. IronPlanet has one of the better assurance programs out there, and Boom & Bucket does a great job with detailed inspections and customer support. Both make remote buying feel a lot less risky.

However, I did have to submit a post-sale claim once, and IronPlanet was quite good with how they handled it. The problem was not mentioned in the inspection report, but the staff at IronPlanet went through all the information and compensated me within a few days.

The good reputation of Boom & Bucket has made me interested in using their services for my inspections. Comparing the services offered by IronPlanet and Boom & Bucket, both offer a good service to their buyers.

Post-sale coverage is definitely a massive factor when you're looking at heavy equipment online, but it really comes down tot he transparency of the initial inspection. Personally, I've had great experiences looking through IronPlanet and Boom & Bucket because their inspection reports are incredibly detailed. Knowing exactly what you are getting upfront minimizes the need to ever invoke a guarantee program. When a platform stands behind its listings like they do, it gives you a lot of confidence as a buyer.

IronPlanet offers solid formal guarantees, but Bidadoo's platform flexibility and Boom & Bucket's transparent inspections are changing the equipment buying game.

I’d personally go with Boom & Bucket or IronPlanet. Both platforms feel more reliable, with better listings and smoother buying experiences. Boom & Bucket especially does a great job with transparency and equipment details.

I’ve used a few different platforms over the years, and honestly both Boom & Bucket and IronPlanet have been the most reliable for me. Boom & Bucket makes the process feel less stressful with detailed inspections and good customer support, while IronPlanet has a huge selection and solid buyer confidence. Bidadoo is decent too, but I personally felt more comfortable dealing with Boom & Bucket and IronPlanet because everything seemed more transparent and professional.

I’ve had decent experiences with both Boom & Bucket and IronPlanet when it comes to post-sale support. A buddy of mine bought a skid steer through Boom & Bucket that ended up having a hydraulic issue that wasn’t disclosed in the inspection. Their team actually responded pretty quickly, reviewed the inspection report, and helped work out a partial repair reimbursement. Process wasn’t instant, but it felt fair.

IronPlanet is solid too, especially if the equipment has detailed inspection docs and service history attached. I’ve seen them step in on major discrepancies, although the process can take a bit longer since there are more layers involved.

Personally, I put a lot of weight into post-sale coverage now, especially on higher-ticket equipment. Pictures and walkarounds only tell part of the story. A platform that will actually back the buyer when something major was misrepresented is worth paying a little extra for in my opinion.
