Hey folks!

I’ve been hearing a lot about using Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) for training operators on construction equipment.
Has anyone here tried these technologies, and how effective have they been in improving skills or safety on the job?

Hey @CodeCompliant188, great topic! I’ve seen AR and VR training becoming a real game-changer. Operators get hands-on practice without the risks of real equipment. From what I’ve heard, it really speeds up learning curves and boosts safety awareness since you can simulate tricky scenarios safely. Would love also to hear if the tech lives up to the hype on actual job sites!

Yeah, I’ve used VR for crane and excavator training, and honestly, it was way more realistic than I expected. It helped me build muscle memory and get comfortable with controls before ever touching the real machine. Definitely boosted my confidence and it’s a lot cheaper than fixing rookie mistakes in the field!

awesome to hear.. been curious about VR training for a while now and it sounds like it really helps build confidence without the pressure of messing up on actual machines. .definitely seems like a smart move for newer operators
