What does E459-2 mean on a CAT 297D?

My CAT 297D skid steer shut down while working and now it cranks but won't start. It's showing error code E459-2 on the display.

E459-2 looks like it’s tied to communication with the engine ECM, so I’d definitely check the ECM connections and wiring first.

Check the engine and ECM ground first, along with the CAN wiring. A bad connectiin there can cause E459-2 and a crank no start issue.
