Why am I getting a 190-8 code after an engine rebuild?

I'm getting a 190-8 code since rebuilding my engine. I already replaced the sensor, but the code is still active. Has anyone run into this after an engine rebuild? I'm trying to figure out what else could be causing it. Any advice would be appreciated.

If the sensor is new, I'd double-check the wiring and connector first. It's easy for something to get pinched or left loose during a rebuild.
