i hear you, ctls are beasts on soft ground, no question-but i've had skid steers surprise me on muddy sites with the right tires and a good operator. sometimes speed and agility make up for the lack of tracks
Totally agree with what's been said-I'd also add wearing high-vis gear and always having a spotter when working in tight or active areas. Can't be too careful with trenchers
