Exactly. . . on most Deere excavators the pattern selector is under the seat or in the cab menu, so if it gets bumped mid-shift you'll instantly notice reversed stick/boom movements--best practice is stop, idle down, confirm the pattern, then ease back in slowly.

I'd say for a 40x50x14 with basic doors and insulation, you're probably looking anywhere from $30k-$45k right now, but it really swings with location and upgrades. Always check what's included in the quote-some leave out concrete or delivery, which can bea nasty surprise later.
