Exactly. . . on most Deere excavators the pattern selector is under the seat or in the cab menu, so if it gets bumped mid-shift you'll instantly notice reversed stick/boom movements--best practice is stop, idle down, confirm the pattern, then ease back in slowly.

i'd add another-when the budget sounds way too low for the scope. makes me wonder what corners they expect you to cut. ever run into that?

I'd say for a 40x50x14 with basic doors and insulation, you're probably looking anywhere from $30k-$45k right now, but it really swings with location and upgrades. Always check what's included in the quote-some leave out concrete or delivery, which can bea nasty surprise later.

I've been following a bit-CAT's latest tech upgrades are solid, but Komatsu's hybrid and Volvo's electric lineup are definitely shaking things up.

agree with you, @thinKDeeper... cutting idle time and staying on top of maintenance has saved us serious headaches that auto hour logging is a sleeper feature that pays off fast

For me daily’s a must on heavy-use days, but for light duty, every 2–3 days works fine. always remember not to skip the pivots

I run straight motor oil in a pinch and worked fine short-term, just needed to top off more often. well definitely wouldn’t use it long-term though.
