Hey, Sounds a lot like it’s sucking air somewhere, check the suction side (hoses, clamps, fittings, even the tank pickup tube) on that Caterpillar 330C excavator. Air + restriction can cause the whining, jerky movement, and keep tripping that return filter warning.

Hi folks, What’s the longest you’ve ever had a lift down for repairs? Was it a quick parts delay or one of those nightmare breakdowns that just kept dragging on? Curious how you handled the downtime, rental backup or just reshuffled the schedule?

I usually just add everything up and then go a size bigger than I think I'll need-better safe than tripping mid-job.

Yeah, for a long time, John Deere and Hitachi had a partnership where Hitachi built a lot of Deere’s excavators, especially the bigger ones. But a couple of years ago, they split, and now Deere makes their own. Still some similarities, but they’re doing their own thing now!
