Can I use 46 hydraulic oil in a Case 40XT?

My Case 40XT calls for 10W-30 motor oil in the hydraulic system. Can I use ISO 46 hydraulic oil instead? Is it safe to mix 10W-30, hydraulic oil, or tractor hydraulic fluid?

Before changing anything, check the operator’s manual to see what Case recommends. Mixing 10W-30, ISO 46, and tractor hydraulic fluid can get tricky, so it's usually safest to stick with the specified fluid unless someone has verified compatibility on a 40XT.
