I've been digging into excavator attachments lately and had a question about buckets specifically. I know they take a serious beating in rock, clay, and demolition work, so I'm guessing they're not made from ordinary steel.
What type of steel are excavator buckets usually made of? Is it mainly AR plate like AR400/AR450, or something else depending on the manufacturer? Also curious how much the material actually affects wear life in real-world jobs.
