What tools do I need to replace the batteries on a Cat D4K2?

I'm getting ready to replace the batteries on my Cat D4K2. The manual says to remove the mat and floor plate to access the second battery, but I'm not sure what's involved.

What tools are needed, and is there anything I should watch out for during the battery replacement?
