Hey everyone!
I know forklift batteries are heavy and require proper handling for safety and maintenance. What equipment and precautions are needed to safely handle, change, and maintain forklift batteries?

Are there specific tools, PPE, or best practices that make the process easier and safer? Would love to hear insights from those with experience in battery handling!

Hey @Jonathan Gillispe! Forklift batteries are no joke, coz they’re heavy, full of acid, and can be a real headache if not handled right. At a minimum, you’ll want PPE like gloves, safety goggles, and an apron to protect against acid spills. A battery hoist or roller stand is a lifesaver for swapping them out safely (because no one wants to throw out their back). Also, good ventilation is key since these batteries can release hydrogen gas while charging. Ever had a close call with a battery spill or faulty lift?
