I've been looking for a secondhand log trailer, but most seem overpriced or in rough shape.

Anyone bought a used log trailer lately? What should I watch out for to get a good deal?

When shopping for a used log trailer, definitely check for any signs of rust or structural damage, especially around the frame and axles.
Make sure the brakes and tires are in good condition, better to know the trailer’s maintenance history. This might help you compare prices across different sellers to get a sense of what a fair deal looks like.

Good tips, Ernie! I'd also add checking the hydraulics and light, those can be costly to fix if they're not in good shape.

Yeah! checking for rust and maintenance is key but if the price seems too high for its condition, better off invest in a new one. :)

Just jumping in and I'm totally agree with checking rust and brakes first. Also, don’t forget to test how the trailer handles when loaded coz sometimes that can reveal hidden issues. It’s a bit of a hunt, but finding one with a solid maintenance history definitely makes a big difference!
