Stihl vs Husqvarna – Which Chainsaw Should I Buy?

i run both over the years, and honestly, you can’t go wrong. it comes down to what feels right in your hands and which dealer’s closer when you need parts or a quick tune-up. Let us know what you end up picking... always fun to hear which way folks go

honestly it comes down to what feels right in your hands.. Stihl low-end torque is great when you're deep in hardwood, but I’ve always liked how smooth and clean Husqvarna runs on long days

Dealer support is a dealbreaker for me andbeing able to grab parts quickly has saved me more than once

both are solid, but i'd lean stihl for torque and easier parts availability.

dealer support definitely makes a difference long-term

i've always leaned husqvarna-runs smooth, lighter feel for longer cuts, and their newer models have solid durability without beating you up.

Hey everyone, I’m in the market for a new chainsaw and can’t decide between Stihl and Husqvarna. I mostly cut firewood and occasionally take down medium-sized trees on my property. I want something that’s powerful, reliable, and easy to maintain.

I’ve heard that Husqvarna revs higher, while Stihl has more torque is that true? Also, is there a big difference in air filtration, vibration control, or durability between the two?

Would love to hear from those who have used both brands. Which saw do you prefer and why? Also, how important is dealer support when choosing between the two?

Thanks in advance for your insights.
Both Stihl and Husqvarna are great. Stihl has more torque, Husqvarna revs faster. Comfort and dealer support matter most-go with the brand your local dealer services best.
