How much are skid steers?

Prices vary a lot depending on size, brand, and features and new skid steers typically range from $30K to $80K+, while used ones can go for $15K to $30K+ depending on hours and condition. If you need high-flow hydraulics, enclosed cab, or other extras, expect to pay more. Are you looking for something specific, or just trying to get a general idea?

@Mark Michael, if you're looking at used skid steers, definitely check the hours on the machine
, anything over 2,500 hours might mean more maintenance soon. Also, inspect the hydraulic system for leaks and test the controls to make sure everything responds smoothly. Brands like Bobcat and CAT tend to hold up well over time, but it also depends on how the previous owner maintained it. Are you buying from a dealer or a private seller?
