How can I improve traction on my drive wheels?

I'm looking for better traction on muddy job sites. Can I use snow chains or aggressive tread tires, or could that damage the drive motors? Also, should both drive wheels spin in mud, or is it normal for only one to spin?

Aggressive all-terrain tires are usually your best option for muddy job sites, as they provide better grip without the potential risks of incorrectly fitted snow chains. Check your vehicle manufacturer's recommendations before installing chains. As for the drive wheels, only one spinning can be normal if your vehicle has an open differential. A limited-slip differential or traction control system can help distribute power and improve traction when one wheel loses grip.
