Has anyone had slow hydraulics after replacing a hydraulic pump?

I replaced the front hydraulic pump on my machine because it was leaking into the engine crankcase. The new John Deere replacement pump is larger than the original, but now all hydraulic functions are slow. Has anyone experienced this after installing the updated pump?
