Hey folks,
I’m looking into financing options for some new heavy equipment and wondering who you’d recommend working with. There are a lot of companies out there, but I’d rather go with one that’s solid, has fair rates, and actually understands the construction industry. Any favorites or companies you’d avoid?

I’ve had good luck with Wells Fargo Equipment Finance, they’ve been around a while and actually know the ins and outs of construction gear. CAT Financial is another solid one if you're buying Caterpillar equipment; they often offer low rates and flexible terms. Just steer clear of generic banks, most don’t get the seasonal nature of construction cash flow.

i’ve heard good things about CAT Financial too and seems like they really tailor to the construction world. Anyone tried DLL or Komatsu Finance? Curious how they stack up.

man, i had decent luck with Wells too, but CAT Financial seems to be the go-to if you’re running their machines,,.hard to beat their tailored terms

I've heard a lot of good feedback about CAT Financial too-seems like they're hard to beat if you're buying yellow iron. I'm curious though, has anyone had experience with non-OEM lenders like DLL or Crest Capital? Wondering how their terms compare when financing mixed fleets or used equipment.

If you're looking for heavy equipment financing in the U.S., a few names come up often; one that stands out is Ritchie Bros. Financial Services (RBFS).

RBFS is strong because they actually understand the equipment market, not just lending. The process is usually fast and straightforward, with funding quicker than many traditional lenders. They offer flexible terms, low upfront costs, and even deferred payments, which helps a lot with cash flow. You're not locked into buying from one place-you can finance equipment from different sources. A lot of contractors like RBFS because it's built into the buying process, making everything smoother and easier to manage.

If you want speed, flexibility, and industry-specific support, RBFS is one of the best options to start with. If you prefer more traditional lending or want to shop rates, then compare with others, but RBFS is hard to beat for convenience and real-world usability.
