Backup Camera Systems for Dump Trailers—Worth It?

Hey everyone,
I’ve been thinking about adding a backup camera to my dump trailer and was wondering if it’s really worth the investment. I do a lot of tight site work and backing up blind can be a headache, especially when space is limited or there’s foot traffic around. Has anyone here installed a camera system that actually holds up to job site conditions like mud, dust, weather, etc.? Are wireless setups reliable enough, or is it better to stick with wired? Would love to hear what’s worked (or hasn’t) for you in the field!

Definitely worth it, especially for tight job sites, that backup cameras seriously cut blind spots and boost safety. Look for wired systems with IP67 or higher waterproof ratings, they hold up better to mud, dust, and rain than most wireless setups. Some even have infrared for low-light visibility. It’s a small investment that can prevent big accidents. Anyone tried a dual-camera setup for side views too?
