Has anyone here considered or used electric bucket trucks in 2025? With the push towards sustainability and reduced emissions, I’m curious if they’re worth the investment for construction and utility companies. Are the cost savings in maintenance and fuel significant enough to justify the higher upfront costs? Would love to hear your thoughts!

Definitely a hot topic right now! I've seen a couple electric bucket trucks in action and honestly, the quiet operation alone is a game changer—especially for early morning or residential work. The upfront cost is still steep, but the savings on fuel and fewer moving parts for maintenance seem to balance it out over time. Plus, with stricter emissions rules popping up, it might be smart to get ahead of the curve.

The quiet operation and reduced maintenance definitely make electric bucket trucks appealing, especially with stricter emissions rules kicking in. The upfront cost is high, but long-term savings could make it worth the switch!

I’m all for emissions reduction, and our company sees electric units as part of our long-term plan. We’re currently looking at replacing some diesel units soon and have been tracking availability on Marketplace-E, which has a surprising amount of electric bucket options listed. Maintenance and fuel cost savings look promising, but the initial price is still a hurdle for smaller operations.
