Any recommendations for buying a skid steer in my area?

I'm starting to look into buying my first skid steer, and honestly don't even know where to begin. I've checked a couple of online listings, but I'd really prefer to buy locally so I can see the machine in person and maybe test it out.

For those who've bought one before, where do you usually look? Local dealers, auctions, Facebook Marketplace, equipment yards? Any tips on what to watch out for when buying used (hours, pins/bushings, hydraulics, etc.) would be hugely appreciated.
